About Me
I am a detail-oriented financial Associate Director with experience in higher education, accounting, and management. Professional experience in leadership, personnel management, and administration has grown into a passion to better understand the perspectives of those I work with to accomplish a shared purpose, in a meaningful way. I cultivate a friendly, professional environment focused on high quality financial data. Problem solving in complex budgets and systems is my specialty. My approach is led with core values in service and kindness, in order to transform complex financial processes to approachable dialogue for everyone.
Lessons Learned from Behind the Wheel
From years in the driver’s seat as a stock car racer, I’ve uncovered practical applications and life lessons. For instance, a four car pileup just ahead of me turned into a split second decision between becoming part of that pileup or taking a risk to try to avoid causing any more damage. Unfortunately, my intention not to inflict additional harm to my peers led me to take a higher risk maneuver into a concrete wall. Reflecting on these actions during a high tension moment highlights my core values. Primarily, a foundation and inherent responsibility and care for those around me. I carry this same lesson to my interactions with clients, peers, and the teams I supervise.
